A Modern Approach to Diabetes
I partner with patients to optimize healthspan and lifespan. By integrating strategic lifestyle shifts with targeted medical therapy, we work together to achieve your diabetes goals while actively minimizing long-term medication burden.
The Expert Partner Approach
My approach to metabolic health is rooted in precision, sustainability, and personal experience. As a Board-Certified Endocrinologist, I leverage advanced pharmacotherapy to manage complex hormonal health, while my certification in nutrition allows me to integrate lifestyle shifts that are as effective as they are achievable. I believe the best care is data-driven and highly individualized. Drawing from my personal use of tools like the Oura Ring and Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGM)—including Dexcom and FreeStyle Libre—I help you translate your own biometric data into a clear, actionable plan. By bridging the gap between clinical expertise and wearable insights, we work together to reach your goals, minimize your medication burden, and ultimately extend both your healthspan and lifespan.De-prescriber and a Precisionist
The landscape of diabetes treatment has undergone a dramatic transformation, and as an Endocrinologist, I offer access to the most advanced tools available. However, my philosophy is that more is not always better. While GLP-1 agonists like Ozempic and Mounjaro are powerful allies, I recognize that escalating doses can often lead to diminishing returns and increased side effects—such as constipation, hair loss, and mood changes. My goal is to find the 'Goldilocks' dose: the minimum amount of medication needed to achieve maximum results. I specialize in helping patients pivot away from older, problematic therapies like Sulfonylureas or heavy insulin dependence—medications that often feel like part of the problem rather than the solution. To do this correctly, I’ve broken the traditional 11-minute office visit model. I dedicate 60 minutes to every new patient and 30 minutes to every follow-up. This time is instrumental for us to sit down together, analyze your CGM data, and customize a lifestyle and medication plan that doesn't just treat a number, but optimizes your long-term health. Why Time is Our Most Important Tool
Your first visit is an hour-long exploration of your metabolic history. I don't just look at where your A1c is today; we look at how you got here. I discuss your nutritional hurdles, your sleep patterns, and your long-term goals. This hour allows us to build a foundation of trust and a roadmap that is actually sustainable for your real life. During our 30-minute follow-ups, we do more than "check boxes." We sit down together to look at the "why" behind the numbers. Instead of one finger-stick, I analyze your CGM (Dexcom/Libre) trends. I look at how a specific meal, a stressful workday, or a poor night's sleep impacted your levels. The extra time allows me to fine-tune your medications. If a GLP-1 is causing side effects, we have the time to discuss micro-dosing or timing adjustments rather than just pushing through or quitting.
